Hillary Clinton has jumped ahead of Donald Trump, fueled by a 4 percentage point post-Democratic convention bounce, a new poll shows.
The
CBS News poll released Monday breaks down like this:
- Clinton: 46 percent
- Trump: 39 percent
- Other: 3 percent
- Won't vote: 7 percent
- Don't know: 6 percent
Clinton got a four-point bounce after her party's convention, which ended last Thursday; Trump had a 2-point bump after his party's convention, CBS News reports.
According to CBS News, Clinton's post-convention bump is similar to those President Barack Obama got in both 2012 and 2008 — but fell short of the 13-point bounce her husband, Bill Clinton, got in 1992.
The survey's margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
