New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is still being considered for multiple cabinet posts in President-elect Donald Trump's administration,
NJ Advance Media reported.
According to the report, Christie is in the running for Secretary of Energy and Secretary of Homeland Security.
"The one person who really values what Chris has done, and how loyal he has been, is Donald Trump," NJ Advance Media was told.
The report comes 2 days after Christie, a longtime friend of Trump's, said on his radio show that he would not quit as governor to join Trump's cabinet.
"I've been consistently saying throughout I'm going to serve the rest of my term and I'm serving the rest of my term," Christie said Monday.
Christie most recently headed up Trump's transition team before being demoted weeks ago in favor of Vice President-elect Mike Pence. Christie was said to have done very little in the final few weeks before the election because he thought Trump was going to lose.
