After a blistering loss in the New York Democratic primary Tuesday, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders' only hope at securing the party's presidential nomination is an indictment of his opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, says "Meet the Press" moderator Chuck Todd.
"At this point he's only got the FBI," Todd said Wednesday on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."
"That's his last get-out-of-nomination free card or whatever," Todd added. "The path isn't there. He's got an opportunity to take the party over, sort of the heart of the party if he wants it. But if he goes out and takes a ball and screams and goes home, the Clinton people shut him out."
The FBI is investigating Clinton's use of a private email server from her time at the State Department, but she maintains nothing illegal transpired from the server's use.
