Democrat Hillary Clinton leads Republican Donald Trump 47 percent to 42 percent in a new CNN/ORC poll released Tuesday.

When voters are given a choice of a four-way race, Clinton's advantage over Trump narrows to 42 percent to 38 percent, with Libertarian Gary Johnson receiving 9 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein 7 percent.

Other details of the poll include:
  • In the last CNN/ORC poll at the beginning of May, Clinton led Trump 54 percent to 41 percent;
  • 56 percent say Clinton has a better temperament for the presidency, while 32 percent picked Trump;
  • 45 percent say Trump is more honest and trustworthy, 37 percent think Clinton is, and 17 percent said neither candidate fit the description;
  • When asked who would win the election, 55 percent said Clinton, while 38 percent said Trump.
The poll had similar results to a Monmouth University survey released Monday which showed Clinton leading Trump 47 percent to 40 percent.

The CNN/ORC poll was in the field from June 16-19, reaching 1,001 adults and 891 registered voters via telephone. The results for registered voters have a margin of error of plus-or-minus 3.5 points.
