Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla., predicted Sunday that President Donald Trump won’t be removed from office, asserting, “we know how this story is going to end.”

In an interview on NBC News’ “Meet The Press,” Cole dismissed the impeachment inquiry a “political decision” that “makes no sense.”

"We know how this story is going to end,” he said. “There is very little likelihood that the president will be removed” since even if impeached by the House, the GOP-controlled Senate would have the final say.

According to Cole, the House “made a political decision” but that it “doesn't make a lot of political sense and it's not good for the country."

Cole also conceded that although Congress has given up over the past 40 years some of its constitutional power, “we're beginning to reclaim it…”

“That's actuallly underway,” he said.
