White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Sunday lashed out at Fox News anchor Chris Wallace for asking if her lawyer husband’s harsh criticism of President Donald Trump has hurt her marriage.
In a raw exchange with the Fox News Sunday veteran, the adviser railed that it was no one’s business how she and husband George Conway were getting along.
“What are you, Oprah now? … am I on a couch and you are a psychiatrist?” she said. “I think it's a really inappropriate question… you're asking a very personal question and I would say to you, you should go ask it of many people. I see messy lives living in glass houses all over both cities in which I live.”
Conway also warned “Joe Biden has a big problem” with a recent charge of inappropriate behavior from Nevada politician Lucy Flores.
“If anybody just types… ‘creepy uncle Joe videos’ you come up with a treasure trove,” she said, adding, “And I think Joe Biden has a big problem here because he calls it affection and handshakes.”
Conway stumbled in a back-and-forth with Wallace about a finding of obstruction of justice by special counsel Robert Mueller — at one point mischaracterizing Attorney General William Barr’s summary as a “report.”
“We will see with the full report says but there's nowhere in the Barr report that says [Trump] obstructed justice,” she said.
Wallace reminded her “there was no Barr report” and that the summary says the Mueller report does not exonerate the president on the obstruction issue.
“It says many things and most importantly it says this president and his campaign did not commit a crime, that there was no conspiracy, no collusion,” Conway countered.
