As the coronavirus has continued to spread, the White House has asked people with flu-like symptoms to avoid visiting, The Washington Post reports.
Though most people have mild symptoms, older people and those with other health issues are vulnerable. President Donald Trump is 73.
According to one official who spoke to the Post, Trump's personal doctor Sean Conley currently attends some coronavirus meetings.
Also, the White House is being cleaned on a more regular basis and changes to Trump's travel schedule are being considered, officials said. Trump has continued his campaign rallies, but health officials have urged people to avoid large gatherings.
Rep. Matt Gaetz, one of several members of Congress who have self-quarantined after coming into contact with a person who has coronavirus at the annual CPAC convention, met with Trump and rode with him in Air Force One and the presidential limousine on Monday.
Gaetz learned about his contact with the person while on Air Force One, and moved to a section of the plane by himself.
And Trump's incoming chief of staff Mark Meadows also went into self-quarantine Monday night out of an abundance of caution, CNN reported, though his own test came back negative.
At a White House news conference Monday, Vice President Mike Pence told reporters he did not know whether the president had been tested for the virus, though the has not been tested himself.
