President Donald Trump came under relentless fire Thursday for his defense of young immigrants protected by an Obama-era program — including from Ann Coulter who declared the president "is off the Trump train."
The "In Trump We Trust" author was asked by the online outlet Mediate if her rebuke of Trump's defense of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients meant she was off the Trump train.
"No. Trump is off the Trump Train," the hard-right commentator responded.
She had other unkind thoughts on the matter on Twitter as well.
Conservative Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, also weighed in with a stern rebuke of the president's "amnesty."
To top off the fury, Breitbart, the news site run by Trump's former chief strategist Stephen Bannon, bragged Thursday that its harsh "Amnesty Don" headline was trending on Twitter.
