David Duke, who once served as the grand wizard of the KKK, gave his support to Donald Trump's use of a controversial graphic with anti-Semitic ties.

An image of Hillary Clinton using a red star, the words "Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!" and $100 bills appeared on Trump's Twitter account Saturday. Two hours later, the tweet was deleted and replaced with the same graphic, except the star was a circle. Critics said the star represented the Star of David and called the graphic racist.

Duke has mentioned the tweet several times since it first appeared.

Duke also tweeted two graphics of Clinton that included the Star of David.

The original image that appeared on Trump's Twitter account was reportedly posted two weeks ago by someone with a history of making racist comments on the micro-blogging site. That account has since been deleted, reports NBC News.

In January, Trump came under fire for retweeting an image originally posted by a user with the name @WhiteGenocideTM.

Trump was also accused of not disavowing Duke, a claim he denied.
