Thirty-one Democrats in the House of Representatives are boycotting President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration to protest his stinging criticism of civil rights veteran Rep. John Lewis.
The Washington Post reported the number surged after Trump's Twitter rebuke of the Georgia lawmaker for telling NBC's "Meet The Press" he didn't intend to go to Trump's inauguration and didn't see the election as legitimate because of Russia's meddling.
The Post posted the protesting lawmakers' tweets and statements of their intended boycott of the Friday inauguration.
