The field of Democrats running to challenge President Donald Trump in November is down to a handful of candidates, with former Vice President Joe Biden now the frontrunner based on the results from the early primaries and caucuses.

A candidate needs 1,991 delegate votes to win the presidential nomination at the party's convention in July. Here are the running delegate totals:

  • Joe Biden: 453
  • Sen. Bernie Sanders: 382
  • Sen. Elizabeth Warren: 50
  • Mike Bloomberg: 44
  • Rep. Tulsi Gabbard: 1

Candidates who have suspended their campaigns:

  • Pete Buttigieg: 26
  • Sen. Amy Klobuchar: 7
