Boxing promoter Don King spoke to reporters at President-elect Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate Wednesday and said the real estate mogul "shocked the world" by winning last month's election.
The two men stood side-by-side in front of the assembled media and praised each other.
"You all know Don King? Who doesn't know Don King," Trump said, CNN reports.
King then said, "It's just great to be an American. And now with our leader, we're gonna ... make America great again.
"You have to admit he shocked the world."
King was waving Israeli and American flags during the brief appearance. He said Trump can bring people together on the heels of comments made by President Barack Obama's administration that scolded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's "right wing" agenda.
"The Israeli flag is about peace," King said. "Peace in the Middle East."
King supported Trump during the presidential campaign, even introducing him at an event in September — remarks that included a seemingly inadvertent use of the n-word.
In July, King told Politico he was backing Trump over Democrat Hillary Clinton because he was an outsider and because he understands race issues.
