Trump Adviser: Waterboarding Wouldn't Force Truth Out of Hillary

One of Donald Trump's senior advisers said Thursday that not even waterboarding would force Hillary Clinton to tell the truth.

"She has continued to lie about it. She told us the lawyers signed off on it. The inspector general said that's not true," Barry Bennett told CNN anchor Kate Bolduan. "She said she would cooperate with all the investigations — She stonewalled the IG and now everybody’s taking the fifth.

"You couldn't get the truth out of Hillary if you waterboarded her."

Bolduan appeared stunned and asked, "what?"

"You couldn’t get the truth out of her with a waterboard," replied Bennett.

Bennett was referring to the investigation into Clinton's email use during her time as secretary of state. The FBI is looking into the matter. Last week, the Department of State placed the blame on Clinton for mishandling her email situation.

A former aide to president Bill Clinton reportedly had access to all of Hillary Clinton's email during her four years at the State Department, despite the fact that he did not have a security clearance.
