Calling his likely Democratic rival Hillary Clinton "guilty as hell" on her email investigation, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump strongly hinted things might not go well for her if he is elected president in November.

"The fact that they even allow her to participate in this race is a disgrace to the United States. It's a disgrace to our nation," Trump told a campaign rally in San Jose, California Thursday night.

Trump said he's always had great confidence in the FBI, but if she ends up not being charged for using a private email server for State Department use when she was in charge he'll have his attorney general look into it if he wins the White House.

"I don't believe our country can let her get away with this crime," Trump said. "If they do let her get away with it, it will be a big topic of conversation on the campaign trail, I can tell you that folks. … It's called a five-year-statute of limitations if I win. Now everything is going to be fair, but I'm sure the attorney general will take a very good look at it from a fair standpoint, OK? I'm sure. I think it's disgraceful."
