Donald Trump is gaining on Hillary Clinton,
according to voters in an NBC News/ SurveyMonkey poll.
In the online poll of 12,969 registered voters conducted May 23 to 29:
- 47 percent of the poll’s voters would vote for Hillary Clinton.
- 45 percent of the poll’s voters would vote for Donald Trump.
Since NBC News and SurveyMonkey's
May 24 poll, Trump has gained two points while Clinton gained one point.
NBC News released the poll result in a tweet from The Today Show:
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is faring better than Clinton in a hypothetical match-up against Trump. Politico reported that he is leading 52 percent to Trump's 40 percent in a another NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll.
Trump is gaining on Clinton in other polls, as well.
A report on multiple polls by RealClearPolitics showed Trump within one point of Clinton.
