Donald Trump Jr. to W.Va. Voters: Reject Don Blankenship

Donald Trump Jr. urged West Virginia voters Thursday to reject Republican Senate candidate Don Blankenship over U.S. Rep. Evan Jenkins in the May 8 primary battle to face incumbent Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin in the fall.

One post included a link to a report by The Washington Examiner that the Democratic group Duty and Country PAC was spending more than $1.2 million against Jenkins in just under two weeks.

As much as $517,000 was spent against Jenkins since last Thursday alone.

The group also has spent $47,000 against West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey.

It has have not spent against Blankenship, the controversial multimillionaire and former CEO of Massey Energy, the Examiner reports.

However, polls place Morrisey ahead in the six-candidate primary race.

A Public Opinion Strategies poll among likely Republican voters showed Morrisey leading Jenkins by 28 to 26 percent, with Blankenship at 12 percent.

In addition, a National Research Poll conducted for GOPAC found Morrisey with 24 percent, Jenkins 20 percent, and Blankenship 15 percent.
