Donald Trump took a rare moment Friday to address the possibility of losing the election next month to Hillary Clinton.

"What a waste of time if we don't pull this off," the Republican nominee told supporters in in Fletcher, N.C. "It matters to me if we win or lose.

"I'll have over $100 million of my own money in this campaign," he said. "If I lose, if I lose."

But Trump then added: "Right up until the actual vote of Nov. 8 — and then I don't know what kind of shape I'm in — but I will be happy.

"At least I will have known — win, lose or draw — I will be happy with myself."

In recent weeks, Trump has raised the specter of the election being "rigged" against him — though he said Thursday that would accept the outcome "if I win."

He had refused to say so the night before in his last debate with Clinton in Las Vegas.

Trump also called for high voter turnout.

"I don't want to think back — if I only I did one more rally, I would have won North Carolina by 500 votes, instead of losing it by 200 votes, right?" Trump said Friday.

"If only I did.

"So, I never want to ever look back. I never want to say that about myself," he added. "We have to work."
