A super PAC backing Donald Trump's presidential bid – $3 million richer from new contributions this week – unveils a new ad pounding Democratic rival Hillary Clinton on Sunday, the Washington Post reports.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott, chairman of the super PAC Rebuilding America Now, will debut the attack-ad on NBC's "Meet the Press," the Post reports.
"It’s a spot about conflicts of interest and impropriety and self-enrichment," the super PACs chief strategist, Ken McKay, tells the Post.
With $3 million in new contributions, and reported ad expenditures of $6.3 million so far, the super PAC – which has the approval of running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, and campaign manager Paul Manafort – has one of largest profiles of pro-Trump super PACs, the Post reports.
Only Great America PAC, led by former Reagan campaign director Ed Rollins, has spent more – $7.5 million, according to the Post, adding the pro-Clinton super PAC Priorities USA Action has raised more than $100 million and spent nearly $40 million.
"We’ve got to get to even," McKay tells the Post.
Trump and Pence are "very likely" to headline fundraisers for the group, McKay tells the Post, a reversal of the presidential nominee's disavowal of super PACs last October.
