Trump: Cruz 'Really Cruel' Not to Help Fiorina After Fall

GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump said his chief rival Ted Cruz was "really cruel" for not helping Carly Fiorina, his announced running mate, after she fell from a stage after introducing him at a rally.

"By the way, she fell off the stage," Business Insider reported Tump saying at a Carmel, Indiana rally. "Did anybody see that? And Cruz didn't do anything. Even I would've helped her, OK?"

The video of Fiorina disappearing abruptly from the stage as Cruz continues glad-handing supporters has gone viral.

"Wow, that's really cruel," Trump said. "She just went down. She went down a long way. And she went down right in front of him and he just kept talking. That was a weird deal."

Trump has his own past with Fiorina, coming under fire earlier in the campaign when she was still in the race. Trump was quoted in Rolling Stone asking who would vote for "that face" after seeing Fiorina on television. He later said he was referring to her persona.
