Proponents of releasing the Senate Intelligence Committee's report about the CIA interrogation procedures used on terrorist suspects are acting like "enemies" of the U.S., said real estate and media billionaire Donald Trump.

"What's going on is inconceivable, that they're releasing these reports, that it's almost like they're enemies of our country," Trump told "Fox & Friends" on Monday. "I mean, we go for sleep deprivation, and they go for chopping off people's heads. And, then we're horrible people, because sleep deprivation is a horrible form of torture."

Trump said it was his understanding that "[President Barack Obama] or lots of people in the administration want to release actually pictures of what took place during the tortures," adding it could have a negative impact "especially to our allies all over world that are petrified to even talk to us anymore, because we're so stupid."

California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein released the controversial report Dec. 9 amid criticism that it presented a highly partisan slant to the CIA program implemented after the 9/11 attacks. Opponents also feared it would endanger Americans overseas.

Though some were decrying the tactics the CIA used, Trump said if the U.S. was attacked again, Americans would "want to go back to the torture, because that's what happens."

"Years go by. People forget the thousands of people that were killed horribly by these maniacs. And, now, all of a sudden, they're saying, 'Oh, the torture,' and, 'We shouldn't have it at all,'" he said. "We should just say to people, 'Please give us secrets, and what do you know? Let's be friends.' This is just incredible to me."
