Ed Rendell said Hillary Clinton needs to "fight" her tendency to come off as smug and over-confident during Wednesday night's final presidential debate.

The former governor of Pennsylvania and Democratic National Committee chairman was discussing debate tactics during a Tuesday interview on a Philadelphia radio station when he agreed with the host's assessment of Clinton's tendency to be "smug."

"Absolutely, and she should fight that," Rendell said on WPHT.

Rendell said Clinton's lead in the polls is not big enough to get over-confident.

"I think it's also important for Hillary Clinton to be presidential, to hang in there, even if he does get personal, but not to be smug or self-confident or over-confident because elections can turn," Rendell said.
