Manure Dumped Outside Democratic Office Party in Ohio

A truckload of manure was dumped in front of the Warren County Democratic Party headquarters in Lebanon, Ohio, The Washington Post reported Sunday.

The act was caught on surveillance video, which the police are reviewing.

A similar incident happened in 2012 at the same location, for which no one was apprehended. Security cameras were installed at the headquarters afterwards.

Ohio Democratic Party chairman David Pepper told The Washington Post that “We had offers from all over - people wanting to help clean it up - and a lot of Dems were asking if they could reuse it, to their credit.”

Cincinnati.com reported that Warren County Republican Party Jeff Monroe condemned the act and offered to help clean up the manure.

Warren County, which is between Cincinnati and Dayton, has been a Republican stronghold for a long time, not having elected a Democrat to even a county-level office since 1976. In the last presidential election, GOP candidate Mitt Romney received 69 percent of the vote compared to only about 30 percent for President Barack Obama, according to the Board of Elections.

The latest polls in Ohio, conducted by Emerson College, show that Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton are tied at 45 percent in the battleground state.
