The expected coronation of Hillary Clinton could be stopped cold — again — in the Democratic presidential primaries, this time if banker-friendly Clinton has to run against the left's anti-Wall Street crusader, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, political analyst Dick Morris told
Newsmax TV "MidPoint" host Ed Berliner on Friday.
Already, said Morris, "Hillary is making the same mistakes she made in 2008. In 2008, she forgot about the primary. She said, 'I have this nomination sewed up,' and she ran for the general election [in the primary]." Morris' comments about Warren and Clinton are at 7:50 in the video below.

Clinton spent 2008 touting her U.S. Senate votes for the Iraq war and the Patriot Act — and was pounded for both by a certain first-term Democratic senator from Illinois: Barack Obama.
"Obama comes along, flanks her to the left and she's taken by surprise," Morris said of Clinton. "That's just what's happening now. She's saying, 'I was tough on Syria. I believe these [illegal immigrant] children ought to be sent home. Obama is spending too much time with beautiful vision and not enough with practical work in the Congress.' "
Neither Clinton
nor Warren has declared for 2016. Warren, in fact, has publicly encouraged Clinton to run,
But in a head-to-head matchup, Clinton has already given any candidate to her left a big opening, said Morris.
Warren "can raise Hillary's income sources against her — Goldman Sachs, the crony capitalism, and all of that stuff — because that's Warren's issue," he said.
"I challenge anybody to tell me one thing that Hillary can say against Elizabeth Warren [in turn] where she is better, other than the concept that, 'I can win and you can't,' " said Morris, noting that a candidate's aura of inevitability can vanish quickly.
Morris said the first-term Massachusetts senator could also attract a powerful ally if she were to step up: President Obama.
"Elizabeth Warren, fueled with Obama's money and Obama's organization — which Ed Klein in his great new book [
"Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. The Obamas"] says may be happening — I think that she could beat Hillary," said Morris. "I think history could repeat itself."
