Trump on If Warren Can Win in '20: 'Ask Her Psychiatrist'

President Donald Trump gave America a preview of what a 2020 presidential campaign against Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., would look like, leveling some of his patented barbs in an exclusive interview airing Monday night.

Fox News' Peter Hegseth asked in the interview to air in its entirety at 10 p.m. ET: "Do you really think she believes she can win?"

"Well, that I don't know, you'd have to ask her psychiatrist," Trump responded.

Sen. Warren was the first Democrat to officially announce an exploratory committee for a presidential run in the 2020 election, doing so earlier Monday, and President Trump was quick to pounce on his potential challenger.

"She did very badly in proving that she was of Indian heritage," Trump told Hegseth in the 10-minute phone interview. "That didn't work out too well. I think you have more than she does, and maybe I do, too, and I have nothing."

Sen. Warren was ridiculed by President Trump for her Native America heritage in the past, and issued DNA test results revealing it dates back six to 10 generations, making her between 1/64th and 1/1024th Native American. Warren is expected to face a crowded and well-funded field of Democratic primary candidates.

"So, we'll see how she does," Trump told Hegseth. "I wish her well. I hope she does well. I'd love to run against her."
