Franklin & Marshall Poll: Clinton Up 9 Points in Pennsylvania

Hillary Clinton has a 9-point lead over Donald Trump among Pennsylvania voters in the four-way race for president, according to the results of a new poll.

The Franklin & Marshall College survey found Clinton, a Democrat, has 47 percent support. The Republican Trump has 38 percent support among likely voters.

Libertarian Gary Johnson garnered 5 percent support in the poll, while the Green Party's Jill Stein did not receive any support.

In the same poll in August, Clinton had 45 percent support and Trump had 40 percent.

Other findings from the poll:

  • 60 percent said Clinton has the necessary experience to be president, compared to 18 percent for Trump.
  • 48 percent said Clinton has the character and good judgment to be president, while 23 percent said the same about Trump.
  • 44 percent said Clinton will protect the United States against terrorism, while 39 percent said the same about Trump.
  • 34 percent said Clinton is the most honest and trustworthy, while Trump garnered 29 percent on this question.

The latest RealClear Politics polling average shows Clinton has a 3.5-point lead over Trump in Pennsylvania.
