Fifty-one percent of Georgia voters are backing Sen. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., in the state’s Jan. 5 Senate runoff, while 48% favor her Democrat challenger Raphael Warnock, according to a new Emerson College poll.
Here are how the survey results break down:
- 29% of those between the ages of 18-29 say they support Loeffler, while 71% back Warnock.
- 48% of those between 30-44 back Loeffler, compared to 49% who favor Warnock.
- 58% between the ages of 45-64 support Loeffler, while 42% back Warnock.
- 60% of those 65 years and older favor Loeffler, compared to 40% who support Warnock.
The Georgia poll, conducted Dec. 14-16, surveyed 605 voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.9 percentage points.
