Poll: Biden Takes 4-Point Lead Over Trump in Georgia

Georgia voters prefer former Vice President Joe Biden over President Donald Trump, according to a new poll.

A Public Policy Polling poll, commissioned by End Citizens United, published Monday shows Biden has the edge over Trump in a head-to-head matchup by 4 points.

Poll results show:

  • 49% of Georgia voters say they would vote for Biden if the election were held today.
  • 45% of Georgia voters say they would reelect Trump.
  • 44% of Georgia voters say they view Trump favorably with 49% reporting an unfavorable view of the president.
  • 41% of Georgia voters say they view Biden favorably with 48% saying they view the former VP unfavorably.

The last time a Democrat president won the state of Georgia was in 1992, The Hill reports.

The End Citizens United/PPP poll surveyed 734 Georgia voters between June 25-26. The poll has a margin of sampling error of 3.6 percentage points.
