Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich accused the Obama administration on Monday of "waging war on Israel."
On Monday, Gingrich tweeted:
The former speaker blasted President Barack Obama for not having the U.S. veto a United Nation’s Security Council resolution which condemned Israeli settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, CNN reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu summoned the U.S. ambassador and launched a scathing attack on the Obama administration in light of the Security Council resolution.
"We have no doubt that the Obama administration initiated it, stood behind it, coordinated on the wording and demanded that it be passed," Netanyahu said of the resolution.
