The Arizona legislature will close for a week due to COVID-19 concerns following news of Rudy Giuliani’s positive virus test, reports AZFamily.com.

Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s lawyer, spent hours last week testifying in front of Republican legislators in a bid to overturn the state’s 2020 presidential election results.

The former New York City mayor also met with other members of Trump’s legal team, including Jenna Ellis and nine Republican Arizona lawmakers, on Nov. 30 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Phoenix.

“Out of an abundance of caution for recent cases and concerns relating to COVID-19, the House building will be closed for one week, starting Monday, December 7,” the Speaker of the House said Sunday in an announcement to its members. “No one will have permission to work or meet in the building. All members and staff should perform all work and schedule meetings remotely.”

Giuliani’s positive test was announced earlier Sunday in a tweet by Trump.
