President Donald Trump has accepted an invitation to speak with Senate Republicans next week during a lunch meeting.

Trump will attend the group's weekly policy lunch on Capitol Hill, according to a release from Republican Policy Chairman John Barrasso, R-Wyo. — who had initially invited Trump.

"We are pleased to announce that President Trump will join us next Tuesday to press our common agenda and speed a great American recovery," Barrasso said.

"Leader McConnell and our entire conference look forward to welcoming the president."

The meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Mansfield Room of the U.S. Capitol.

The meeting is expected to cover the fall agenda, which includes the GOP's efforts to pass tax reform — something they would like to get done before the end of the year. After that, Republicans would like to return to healthcare as they seek to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Trump hosted Senate Republicans at the White House in July to talk about healthcare.
