The Congressional Leadership Fund launched an ad that takes aim at the Democratic candidate in the Pennsylvania special election to fill a congressional seat.

The video ties Democrat Conor Lamb to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama’s administration.

"Conor Lamb is a Pelosi liberal. His values aren’t our values," the video says.

The leadership fund, which is closely aligned with House Speaker Paul Ryan, reported that it had raised $9.7 million from January until Feb. 21, Politico reported.

Lamb on Monday launched an ad that rejected a tie to Pelosi, CNN reported.

"My opponent wants you to believe that the biggest issue in this campaign is Nancy Pelosi. It’s all a big lie," Lamb said in the ad.

Pelosi is unpopular among Republicans, and claiming ties to Pelosi is based on the idea that if Democrats take the majority in the House of Representatives, she would become House speaker, CNN’s report said.

Republican state Rep. Rick Saccone is running against Lamb to replace former Rep. Tim Murphy, who resigned amid allegations of sexual misconduct.
