Grover Norquist Friday rejected House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's comments that companies that are just throwing "crumbs" to workers in the form of bonuses after tax reform legislation was passed.

"Cut her some slack," Norquist, the president of Americans for Tax Reform, told Fox News' "Fox & Friends" program. "What else is she going to say? She told us it would be the end of the world and it's now been about 12 days, and the world hasn't ended as a result of tax reductions."

"This has just begun and at Americans for Tax Reform, we actually have the list of all the companies that are doing this," said Norquist. "We are looking for more. This is not a complete list. [There are] 2 million people who have received bonuses."

Pelosi claimed the bill would hurt the economy, he continued, but "the stock market is going up. You told people they would lose their jobs. That's not happening. So you say that $1,000 pay increase is pathetic, because she spends that much in an evening at dinner in San Francisco."

In addition to the bonuses, Americans will benefit from the reform because their taxes will be lower and their pay will go up.

"There are many ways in which American lives are made better by this tax cut," said Norquist. "This is the first one to show up. This is the spring flowers arriving."
