Americans are still working out what they think of President-elect Donald Trump, but a majority of voters are sure about one thing: Russian cyber-attacks had no real effect on the presidential race, a new Fox News poll showed.
The survey released Wednesday – the first since Trump was elected Nov. 8 – finds 59 percent of voters feel hopeful about the election outcome, 37 percent feel angry, and 30 percent feel depressed by the results.
On the issue of Russia's meddling in the election, 59 percent of voters believe Moscow's hacks did not make a difference, while 32 percent think they helped Trump, the poll shows.
More than one-third of voters have a positive outlook for Trump – 25 percent think he will be "above average" and 11 percent say he will be one of America's "greatest" presidents.
But 31 percent say he will be "one of the worst" presidents, 12 percent say he will rank "below average," and 16 percent say he will be "average."
Overall, a record 47 percent of voters have a favorable view of Trump, up from 38 percent before the election, the poll finds.
Trump is "too accommodating" to Russia, according to 50 percent of respondents, compared to 15 percent who say he is "too confrontational" with Moscow, the findings show.
In his dealings with China, 43 percent feel he is "too confrontational" and 17 percent say he is "too accommodating."
The online poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
