Hewlett-Packard appears to be the latest corporation that won't participate in this summer's Republican National Convention,
The New York Times reports.
HP had in the past been supportive of the GOP. Meg Whitman, who was the CEO before the company split last year and currently leads HP Enterprises, was once the Republican nominee for California governor, the Times notes.
But Whitman has vocally opposed the party's presumptive nominee Donald Trump, saying he is a "dishonest demagogue" and that his statements on women and Muslims were "repugnant."
Other companies have either reduced their support for the convention, to be held July 18-21 in Cleveland, or pulled out altogether, many over concerns about Trump.
Color of Change, an activist group trying to get companies to disassociate from the convention, told the Times it learned of HP's decision last week.
Coca-Cola this year has cut its contribution to $75,000 – down significantly from the $660,000 it gave during the 2012 GOP convention.
Microsoft, meanwhile, is providing only software and technical help to the Republican convention, but will also give money to the Democratic convention.
