Hillary Clinton's campaign manager slammed Donald Trump's debate performance Monday night as a "disaster" – and suggested the GOP nominee might drop out of the next two face-offs.
In an interview on MSNBC after the first presidential debate at Hofstra University in New York Monday night, John Podesta said Clinton "came in prepared . . . he was not."
"I think he came in unprepared and what we saw was a meltdown," Podesta said, adding it might convince him to pull out of the next two debates.
"It would be smart if his manager pulled him out of the [next] two debates," he added. "Because it was a disaster."
He also mocked Trump's campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, for referring to the GOP nominee as the "Babe Ruth of debating."
"He was more like Casey at the bat," he said. "If they had a corner, they would have thrown the towel in."
