Hillary Clinton Friday called comparisons to Trump University and the Clinton Foundation "absurd" and said "millions of lives" have been improved around the world by the work of the nonprofit former President Bill Clinton established in 2001.

"This is really an absurd comparison," the Democratic presidential front-runner told Jake Tapper on CNN. "We have disclosed everything.

"You can see what we do when we put out reports," she said. "We can find you millions of lives that have improved because of the work."

Republican candidate Donald Trump this week responded to attacks by Clinton and her associates — including a re-tweet of a post of Mitt Romney's from three months ago — regarding the civil fraud lawsuit involving the defunct Trump University by pointing to alleged questionable donations to the Clinton Foundation.

"Contrast that," the former secretary of state told Tapper,"the attorney general of New York have said that Trump University is basically a fraud.

"It's a fraud, where Donald Trump has preyed on people, has taken them by asking you to max out the credit cards to a point of financial despair.

"I'll let the lawsuits go on," Clinton added. "It's very clear from the testimony we've already heard about from his close associates that even people working in it find it fraudulent."
