Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-Wis., has called on the White House to share with some congressmen the transcript of the meeting between President Donald Trump and Russian officials, during which the president reportedly disclosed highly classified information.

Gallagher made the request in a series of tweets Tuesday.

Gallagher, who is an intelligence officer by training, expressed grave concern over the implications of the incident, and did not accept Trump's explanations for his actions.

In a wider criticism of the president, the Wisconsin congressman also cautioned against Trump's desire to more broadly cooperate with the Kremlin to fight terrorism.

Gallagher was also among Republicans who criticized Trump's firing of FBI Director James Comey last week, Wisconsin Radio Network reported.
