Former FBI Director James Comey will appear on "The View" next month,
The announcement was posted on the show's Twitter account.
"Former FBI Director James Comey sits down with the co-hosts of The View Wednesday April 18th for his first daytime interview," the show tweeted.
"Clearly, we have a lot to talk to him about," said Whoopi Goldberg, one of the co-hosts of the ABC show.
The appearance is part of a promotional tour to publicize his upcoming book, "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies & Leadership," according to The Hill.
He is scheduled to be interviewed by ABC's George Stephanopoulos on April 15. That interview will be followed by an April 17th appearance with Stephen Colbert on CBS.
Comey was fired by President Donald Trump last May. His ouster led to the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller to probe Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign, the Hill noted.
