Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush lashed out in a tweet at Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, over his comment warning against "somebody else's babies" repopulating the country.

King tweeted his support for Dutch politician Geert Wilders, who called Islam a "totalitarian ideology aimed at establishing tyrannical power over non-Muslims" in a September piece for Breitbart News.

"They carry our passports, but they do not belong to us," he wrote. "They spit on our identity and behave like conquerors."

Bush voiced his criticism on Sunday.

Bush, a Republican, also retweeted his Florida colleague Rep. Carlos Curbelo asking King if he's "somebody else's baby" given his Cuban heritage. King told CNN Monday that he "meant exactly what I said."

"You cannot rebuild your civilization with somebody else's babies, you've got to keep your birth rate up, and that you need to teach your children your values and in doing so you can grow your population you can grow your culture and you can grow your way of life."
