Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush called on Donald Trump to repudiate his racially tinged comments about a federal judge overseeing his Trump University case, saying on Twitter that "there is no place for racism in the GOP, or this country."

Here is the former 2016 candidate's post:

Bush, who quit the race in February after a poor finish in the South Carolina primary, joined a chorus of Republicans Tuesday disavowing Trump's comments about U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel in San Diego.

Trump has attacked Curiel because of his Mexican heritage. In a statement Tuesday, he refused to apologize for the comments and said that "it is unfortunate that my comments have been misconstrued as a categorical attack against people of Mexican heritage.

"I feel justified in questioning whether I am receiving a fair trial," Trump said.
