Jeh Johnson: Trump at Fault for Immigration Fight

Former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Thursday that President Donald Trump is to blame for the lack of progress on how to deal with immigration.

Johnson, who served in the Obama administration, said during an appearance on Fox News' "Fox & Friends," on Thursday that Trump has caused the tension between the White House and Congress.

"You cannot pour arsenic into a well and then get angry at Democrats for refusing to drink from it," he said.

When host Steve Doocy suggested "the Democrats do not want to give Donald Trump even a little bit of a win."

Johnson replied: "The principal reason for that is President Trump's own rhetoric. Every time I think there might be an opportunity for getting something done, he frankly pours gasoline over the whole relationship so that they don't want to work with him."

He continued, saying Trump's tweets have "undermined" his administration, particularly his "go back" tweets about a group of non-White Democratic congresswomen.
