Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan said he wants the Affordable Care Act to be repealed quickly.

"Let's repeal it as quickly as we can and let's have the effective day not be three or four years down the road," Jordan said at the January meeting of Conversations with Conservatives, hosted by The Heritage Foundation, according to The Daily Signal.

At the meeting, a monthly question-and-answer session hosted by The Heritage Foundation, a number of Jordan's fellow Republican congressmen from the House Freedom Caucus spoke in favor of that plan.

Pennsylvania Rep. Scott Perry said he believes that a replacement plan needs to be ready to go. "I do think that the repeal and the alternative needs to happen at the same (time), or… with(in) a week or two or something like that," The Daily Signal reported.

The free market is the key to success, according to Idaho Rep. Raul Labrador. "I want to make sure that we're going to move to a free-market plan. And I'm encouraging our leadership to take a bold position on this and move as far away from Obamacare and government-centered healthcare as possible," he said.

Jordan agreed: "Ideally, we'd like a plan that's free market-oriented, patient-oriented, doctor-oriented, community oriented… Healthcare will be better and cost less when Obamacare is gone."

South Carolina Rep. Mark Sanford said that repealing is the main focus: "It would be very difficult for any of us, at the end of the day, to not vote yes on repeal, whether it's concurrent or not with regard to replace," Sanford said, according to The Daily Signal.

Other Republicans are in favor of a partial repeal, according to a report Friday in The Washington Post.
