Former House Speaker John Boehner said Republicans are not going to repeal and replace Obamacare.

"(Congressional Republicans are) going to fix Obamacare — I shouldn't call it repeal-and-replace, because it's not going to happen," Boehner said Thursday at an Orlando healthcare conference, Politico reported.

He also said Republican's claim repealing and replacing would easily pass Congress is just "happy talk."

"I started laughing. Republicans never, ever agree on healthcare," he added.

"Most of the framework of the Affordable Care Act . . . that's going to be there," the former speaker said.

A former Ohio Republican congressman, Boehner retired in 2015. During his career, he drew fire from some conservatives for willing to compromise with Democrats, according to The New York Times.
