John Dean, the ex-White House counsel for Richard Nixon, blasted President Donald Trump for his tweets targeting former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch.
The president attacked her in a series of tweets on Friday as she testified during an impeachment hearing investigating the president’s handling of Ukraine.
Trump said that "everywhere Marie Yovanovitch went turned bad," noting that "it is a U.S. president’s absolute right to appoint ambassadors."
But Dean appearing on CNN said: “What struck me, it’s almost breathtaking that the president is live-tweeting this and he’s tweeting intimidation. This is criminal. This is…there’s a statue that prohibits that very kind of activity and he’s just not letting up.”
