GOP presidential underdog Gov. John Kasich taunted front-runner Donald Trump to "act like you're a professional," blasting the real estate billionaire's claims of a a "rigged" GOP nomination process.
In an interview on CNN's
"State of the Union" on Sunday, the Ohio governor said the party's system to pick their White House candidate is "the way it works."
"It's like saying 'I made an 83 on my math test, so I should get an A just because I think it's rigged that you have to make a 90 to get an A,'" he said. "Come on, act like you're a professional. Be a pro."
Kasich also defended his continued fight to win the nomination, despite having only won his own state's primary thus far.
"Winning is accumulating delegates," he said. "I don't have to win the state. I have to accumulate delegates and have momentum going in"
"To me, it's continuing to accumulate delegates and go into that [Republican national] convention as the person standing who can beat Hillary [Clinton]."
Kasich has 143 delegates to Trump's 743 and Sen. Ted Cruz's 545.
