Sen. John Kennedy: Pelosi Wanted Impeachment All Along

Louisiana GOP Sen. John Kennedy argued with MSNBC's Chuck Todd after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced a former impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump, and insisted everyone involved in the Ukraine scandal be investigated, particularly Hunter Biden.

He also insisted that Pelosi has been in favor of impeachment all along, even if she seemed hesitant to formally announce it, as House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., would not have pushed for his investigation without her permission.

"I don't know what happened in the conversation between President Trump and President [Volodymyr] Zelensky," Kennedy said. "We're going to find out [Wednesday]. He's agreed to release the transcript. I hope the president and the White House has gotten the consent of President Zelensky, because I think that's a slippery slope."

He further argued Biden's son will need to be investigated when the whistleblower complaint is released publicly, saying "if you're going to be fair you have to look at both."
