White House adviser Kellyanne Conway said late on Sunday that she will be leaving the Trump administration at the end of August, citing the need to focus on her family.
"I will be transitioning from the White House at the end of this month," she said in a statement.
Her husband, George Conway, also announced he is leaving the Lincoln Project, a group of Republican operatives that opposes President Donald Trump.
"So I'm withdrawing from @ProjectLincoln to devote more time to family matters. And I'll be taking a Twitter hiatus," he tweeted. "Needless to say, I continue to support the Lincoln Project and its mission. Passionately."
