Kellyanne Conway, who served as President-elect Donald Trump's campaign manager in his successful White House bid, says she was offered a senior position in the Trump administration on Election Night — but she hasn't yet decided whether to accept.
"He has offered me a position, very early on, the election night, in the wee hours he did," Conway said Monday on Fox News Channel's "The Kelly File."
Conway said the offer is humbling.
"I think it's everybody's dream to serve their nation at the highest level that they can," she said, "But I have four small children and I need to balance all personal and professional considerations. I'm deciding where I'm best for this president-elect and vice president-elect."
Host Megyn Kelly asked about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has not been seen among the multiple interviewees talking with Trump over the past several days.
"They're very close, but I haven't seen her as part of the Cabinet mix," Conway said, though she said that does not mean Palin is not being considered.
"Look, we're going to take the counsel of many different people, whether you have an official position or not," she said.
