Fox News' Megyn Kelly said Tuesday the left was hypocritical in criticizing Dr. Ben Carson's condemnation of Obamacare at the National Prayer Breakfast in 2013, but praising the cast of "Hamilton" for lecturing Vice President-elect Mike Pence last week.
Calling it a "possible double standard when it comes to free speech," Kelly played video clips of liberals defending the "Hamilton" cast while blasting Carson. She admitted the two clips did not show the exact same liberals.
Conservative pundit Marc Thiessen agreed, saying Carson was participating in the "long tradition of speaking truth to power at the National Prayer Breakfast."
He noted Mother Teresa scolded President Bill Clinton over abortion at a prayer breakfast in the 1990s.
That said, Kelly said she tends to like "these open statements from all sides because it's quintessentially American."
