Lil Wayne expressed support for the work President Donald Trump has done on criminal justice reform and his Platinum Plan, which is designed to help Black Americans.

The rapper tweeted a photo of him standing next to Trump following a meeting in Miami on Thursday.

Lil Wayne wrote in the tweet:

"Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he's done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done,”

Some on Twitter ripped Lil Wayne for praising Trump this close to the presidential election.

Rappers 50 Cent and Ice Cube also faced blowback last week after it was revealed he was working with the Trump administration on the Platinum Plan.
